Storks are carnivores that was descendant or related to this much larger creature
Phorusrhacidae “Terror Bird”

It was 8 feet tall and use to eat small proto-horse-like mammals. Truly it was a direct descendant of the dinosaurs. When I was a kid I once saw a Stork on a Wildlife show eat the remains of a wild buffalo along with a pack of hyenas and I think a Crocodile. It was a cool thing to see.
