It could be E coli, but chances are with this being the winter season, you probably have contracted a stomach virus. If it were e coli, you wouldn't be able to hold anything down even water. Since you felt well enough to write the question I would say virus. Trust me food poisoning will seriously send you to the hospital. There is no mistaking it. Get plenty of fluids. If you are having trouble holding it down try only drinking a teaspoon at a time once per hour. If you get dehydrated, you will vomit more. Also try the "brat" diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast

Get to an ER. Both of you. No more waiting. Only medical tests can tell you if this is indeed the case, but don't wait any longer to find out. This too dangerous an infection to just sit around and hope for the best.
Yes, you can e coli from undercooked ground meat, as well as from a number of other sources.

yes you can get e coli from hamburger meat, but that is not all cooking will kill the e-coli however e-coli can be found on other things such as the produce you might have put on the burger, also cross contamination is possible.

yes you can get e-coli, from just about anything you eat. doesn't have to be just meat etc. Hear about the spinach? Anyway get to the ER, it could be just the flu, but only tests will tell, and why take the chance?

Yes, you can. There was an out break in 90's at Jack-In-The-Box restaurants that involved e-coli tainted burgers. I would consult a doctor as soon as you can.

Yes, E coli can present itself in meat. If your symptoms last another day, visit your doctor.

NO it's NOT e-coli. If it was it would of completely wiped you out and you would be in ER. E-coli CAN comefrom meat because animals grazing can eat the feces in the food/grass. e-coli comes from the feces of animals and humans.
