Absolute BS! If you don't leave the house, you probably won't meet anyone. I mean you don't have to be on the prowl to meet people you want to date, but if you don't do anything outside of the house you probably won't meet anyone.
Being proactive is definitely the most effective way. You have to talk to people you like at the very least, and you may need to ask them out sometimes too. Good luck!

That's exactly what happened to me! Yes, I was looking and looking and getting nowhere. Then one day at a club, some girl that I met briefly once came over my table and started talking. I froze up at that point.
Well, 13 years later, 11 of them married and with a daughter, we are still together!
Don't be proactive AND don't be oblivious. Just live life and let the chips fall as they may. Because before you know it...POW!

Both. Be ready, but not expecting. If you like someone, let him/her know. I met my boyfriend on a pitty date. I only agreed because I didn't have the heart to tell this other guy no. When John's friends who wanted to set us up heard, they said it was only fair to give their guy a chance. So, I sucked it up, barely made myself presentable, and wasn't nervous at all, untill he walked through their door. It was love at first sight. Literally. He felt the same way. What if I hadn't agreed to go? I would have missed out on a lot of great life!

I think it is a little bit of both. But when I stopped focuing on finding a man, he found me and we are now married with a family. How does it go...a watched pot never boils. Works for relationships as well. Quit hunting and just let it happen. Be on your toes, but dont act like you are desperate for a relationships. Dogs can smell desperation in a woman and use it to their advantage.

I think it has to be natural. If you are actively seeking, you might force things that aren't really there. The real stuff will come, give it time.

you should read richard bach's book "a bridge across forever" when he has been searching the nooks and crannies of the world for his soulmate, she pops into his life unannounced and unsung..... so allow you to live your natural life, you will suddenly realize your soulmate living maybe next door and you never realized all along......
