Profit for gun makers and drug dealers. To use the military of the United States to force a way in for corporate oil. For the moron who hates "liberals", Saudi Arabia is out of oil. The Carlyle Group, of which both the Saudi royal family and the Bush's are primary members, needed to control another source of petroleum to maintain their stranglehold on the fossil fuel market.
To pull this off, they needed an excuse and to exercise military powers from the white house, that's what 9-11 and the "patriot act" was about. The trade center towers fell faster than gravity. That's the truth, no amount of retarded ignorance by people who suck *** to a corrupt corporate structure will ever change the truth. So, to anyone who hates out of ignorance and allegiance to greedy liars, go to hell. Like it or not - believe it or not - that's where you are going. You'll be in good company with Hitler.
From the Americans who support the Constitution of the United States and Bill of Rights as amended, please forgive the stupidity of couch potatos who believe what they see on tv. These are the ones who overwhelmingly bought into the lies they have been spoon fed by the Carlyle group and others. Take Silverstein for example, he collected 7 billion from an insurance policy he took out on the trade center shortly before they were professionally demolished. Incidentally, the head of security for the trade center was GW's younger brother. Furthermore, nearly 2 dozen members of bin Ladens family were escorted out of the US on 9-12-01, with diplomatic immunity granted by GW. Why haven't we caught bin Laden? He didn't do it.
And some of us know Saddam was an excuse also, after all, we did absolutely nothing to help in Burma when the soldiers murdered all the monks. There is no oil there. Iraq posed "an immediate and grave national threat" because Saddam might have WMD's. But, North Korea poses no immediate threat even though they are testing rockets and definitely have at least 4 nuclear warheads, and are building more, to target on the US. They are no threat because they have no oil.
I won't say I hate liars, but I do hate lies. And I seriously pity the morons who believe them in the face of overwhelming evidence that what they believe isn't true.

The 2003 invasion of Iraq, codenamed "Operation Iraqi Freedom" by the United States, officially began on March 20, 2003. The stated objective of the invasion was "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people".[1]. In preparation, 100,000 US troops were assembled in Kuwait by February 18.[7] The United States supplied the majority of the invading forces. Supporters of the invasion included a coalition force of more than 40 countries, and Kurds in northern Iraq. The 2003 Iraq invasion began the Iraq War.

There are myriad reasons to explain why the U.S. invaded Iraq.

Everything from preventing a Euro-backed oil bursary and corporate profiteering to biblical manifest destiny and a personal vendetta.

I've lost track of the official goal du Jour. Whatever the original intent, the current goal is to thwart the insurgency the U.S. allowed to emerge through its strategic failure in the onset of the invasion.

Long-term goals include troop withdrawal, and the eventual establishment of an independent Iraqi state, capable of securing its own territories. How the latter will be accomplished is beyond me.

actuality from fiction, actuality from diction. Uncle Sam is installation a great for of democracy there. One self-standard and based off political alliances in basic terms like right here. The leaders in Iraq do no longer care lots approximately what the human beings decide on lots as their very own social gathering, political objectives, and non secular sect. Yep, Uncle Sam taught them politics stable and in a hurry. Polls teach 70% of the popular Iraqis decide on Yankee to go abode, however the usually hand picked mouth products there who've the main to lose without the US propping them up, decide on the US to stay. it particularly is the reason there in basic terms isn't a vote on it meaning something.

Because Saddam openly supported and funded terrorism, and we thought he had weapons of mass destruction.

We also thought the Iraqi people were essentially being held hostage.

If it was anything beyond that, you'd have to ask our government.

That is why I thought we went to Iraq.

For everyone thats about to say "Oil"; learn your facts. (We get most of our Oil from Saudi Arabia, not Iran or Iraq; we havent gotten one drop from Iraq since the Gulf War in the 90s).

It was about how the UN put sanctions on Saddam (27 of them) and he ignored all of them and called the UN's bluff, which as usual, the UN reacted by doing nothing. So the US government went in and did the job, helped by their allies, the Britains. The sanctions were about him getting petrolium (lots of it) and after he got it, he wouldnt let any UN weapon inspectors look for WMD; so obviously people assumed he had them.

because saddam tried to kill W's daddy and because W agreed that Iraq's oil couldn't be left to be sold to non-US powers without the US getting involved.
