Santa and Christmas are two entirely different things. The real celebration of Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Santa was a real living man many, many years ago in Switzerland or something. He would go round to homes early morning and leave a bit of candy in the wooden shoes of children who left some hay in it for the deer (reindeer). Thus the story of gifting for the joy of giving . . . which turned into this nauseous commercialism that it is today. Somehow Santa Clause (Saint Nicholas) and Christmas blended somewhere. But, Santa visiting Jewish homes...in the original sense of how Santa came about by leaving bits of candy for children who left hay for the (rein)deer...why should'nt Santa gift all children, Jewish or otherwise.
