the next day when he woke up his whole side of his face was swollen even under his eye. after that like two hours he started laughing out of no where. we ran outside so he can cool down cause his fever was high. then next dayh was the same but his eye got red and when ever he sleeps his eye get more swollen...what does he have and what should i do....he took childern's tylenol and we cant go to the hospital cause its full with about 150 people

From what you have described, he probably will be needing intravenous antibiotics at this point, which he can only get at a hospital. Forget trying to get him to a dentist, take him to an emergency room immediately!

You must take him to a hospital. Even if you have to wait 10 hours to see a doctor and there are a bunch of crazy people there. He obviously has a serious infection that needs medical attention. The closer you can get to a doctor the better for him!

Go to a different hospital or call your dentist's emergency number. He has what sounds like a critical situation with an abscess (a very bad infection). Good Lord, please don't let this wait until after Christmas!

your brother probably have what we call a periapical abscess this is cause because of the decay and bacteria accumulated on the apex of the tooth and causing bacteria and infections that is why he have fever. also it cause inflammation of the area because the blood and nutrients cannot pass to the teeth . this is a really serious case he should be check immediately by a doctor because of the infection can spread to the brain. it is a really serious case please take him to the dent is or to the hospital immediately.
