Migraines are horrible. I get a fever, light sensitivity, and nausea with mine. I also refuse to take the medication that the doctors prescribe. I've found that Excedrin migraine works best for me. It's the combination of aspirin, caffeine, and acetaminophen in really high doses that works for me. The other thing that I've found that works is the chiropractor. I know a lot of people don't want to let someone crack their necks around, but it really worked for me. My doctor told me that my migraines are usually caused by pulling my vertebrae slightly off and pinching a nerve. Stress only made it worse because the muscles would tense up. My advice is to go talk to a doctor before your exams hit. Nothing is worse than not being able to do what you have to because you have a migraine. And don't worry about what other people think- it's hard for someone who's never had a migraine to fully appreciate how bad it is.

I would say taking 2 aspirin with food would be better than trying to deal with a full blown migraine after the fact. Aspirin is very beneficial to your body and will open up your blood vessels and reduce constriction. Also, you might want to drink a cup of coffee/tea for the caffiene as it will make the aspirin work even better!! You know your own body and what works for you. It's alway better to manage pain BEFORE it gets bad than to try to deal with it after it's killing you. That is medically called "pain management" and I think you know your own body well enough to know when you need to take an aspirin. Godloveya, honey!

Interesting question. Believe it or not, you should read about magnesium and migraine headaches. There is a lot of information on this, and 250-500 mg a day should keep the headache away. If you take a supplement do not take more than this, and do not take a mg, calcium complex, just the magnesium alone. This works for about 3 out of 4 individuals

Don't take it unless you feel your head will blow up, otherway you won't find out if aspirin helped you or not. Moreover if you will not take the aspirin, it's gonna be better for your health ;)
