On December 11, 2006, Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC, announced it had acquired select assets from the World Fighting Alliance, which will cease operations as a part of their sale agreement. UFC President Dana White has told The Fight Network that Jackson's contract is one of the assets they have acquired. No date has been given to when Quinton "Rampage" jackson will make his debut in UFC but many view this as a possible Liddell/Rampage rematch in the future since Rampage was the last man to stop Liddell in Pride at Final Conflict 2003 before he became the UFC LHW champion. Liddell for the record has shown great interest in a rematch with Rampage before calling it quits permanently.

It was a great move. In Rampage Jackson, the UFC has aquired an instant top contender in the light heavyweight division. As one of the few fighters to have beaten the current champ, the rematch promos practically write themselves (think BJ Penn Matt Hughes II). The last time I saw Rampage fight, Shogun Rua beat him into submission, so Jackson will have to beat Ortiz or Griffin to get any love or respect in the UFC before getting another chance to fight Liddell. I hope this becomes a trend, the UFC would be wise to incorporate more fighters from other leagues (Anderson Silva) to showcase the best fighters in the world, not just from North America.

Good move, no matter what opinion you have of Rampage, he is still a dangerous, explosive fighter. Not only do most fans want to see that Liddell Rampage rematch, but hes great to face Ortiz, Griffen and so on. I know he has trained with Team Punishment in the past and watching "friends" fight each other makes great matches.

Bad move! Dana will protect his favorite fighter, idol, and best friend, Chuck Liddell. Dana will make sure Rampage have least exposure, worse pay, etc.... So the secret of drunk hillbilly losing to Rampage will never be exposed. Dana will wait until Rampage is in realy bad condition or simply hire Tim Sylvia to run over Rampage with a car like as he did with Frank Mir. Then Dana will hold pen and contract in Rampage's face to force him accept the rematch when he's not at 100% so Chuck can KO him.

I think its a great move by the UFC. Rampage is a good fighter, and he beat the crap of Chuck the last time they fought. Now is Chucks chance to knock Rampage out and prove everybody wrong.

Pride purposely let him go hoping he could knock off Liddell. It would look good for Pride if Rampage beats Liddell because he was basicallly done in Japan.

Good move. Rampage is the man to bring Chuck down. The only thing Rampage will have to worry about is the famous Chuck eye poke. Rampage is very marketable, even more then Chuck. His interviews and commentary are priceless.

It would be a good move for him. That's 2 Pride fighters in less than a month going to UFC (Crocop is the other). I wonder who's next? I hope Wanderlei Silva and Ricardo Arona.

Definitly a good move, lets see more movement between fight orginizations and lets see Chuck Smash Rampage and even his loss, just like he did with Jeremy Horn.
