If you like a guy, going out with his cousin is not a good idea. You are going to have to pick one over the other. Even if the cousin can not speak English, you can spend time together getting to know each other. You can gain an understanding of a person without being able to communicate with words. I am not talking about physical things, I am talking about a very basic instinctual human ability to know someone just by what they put out through just being. We all speak out to others in ways that transcend words. We aren't even aware of everything we "say". It would be a great experience. With either guy, take your time. However you communicate, knowing someone is a tried and true type of endeavor--it takes time.

Neither! If you don't like the neighbor, don't go out with him. If you can't speak with his cousin, don't go out with him. Communication is the key to any relationship. If you can't speak with the other person, your spinning your tires. Plus, you must take into consideration the your age differences. If the 17-year- old is more than 2 or 3 years older than you, you could be getting him into a lot of trouble and jail time doesn't really say, "I love you". If your not interested in your neighbor, gently let him know your not interested. With that he can concentrate his affections on somebody who will reciprocate; maybe introduce him to one of your friends that is interested in him. It will be less frustrating for both of you. In the long run, he and you may develop a strong friendship because you showed him consideration for his feelings and time.

well if the his cousin doesnt speak english no communication....which is very bad i would go out with the neighbor and if it doesnt work out break up and then you can date his cousin lol :)

I know what you are going through I had a crush on a guy but he didn't like me and passed me off to his cousin who really liked me... well 6 1/2 years later and we are engaged.... so I say... don't just go for looks ... go for someone that you can have a converstation with ... and understand each other.
