Your mistake is expecting serious, thoughtful answers from people who believe in ghosts, goblins and that the Sun rotates around the Earth simply because some goatherd in a mud-and-dung hut proclaimed these things to be true a few thousand years ago.
Of course, many of these folks, most of whom found 5th grade English a struggle, will undoubtedly tell you that you are misinterpreting their book or that you are incapable of grasping the context of these passages.
If you're expecting a response of "you know, you're right and I was wrong" from this crowd, you're sure to be disappointed. Admitting you're wrong requires character.

Great question! I will definitely be looking this up. However, not to dodge your question. I took a Bible study course with a priest who studied at Harvard. I learned that the book of Mark is riddled with mysterious passages about Jesus' statements. They are not only mysterious, they are often times filled with a clear paranoiac air in the verses. Jesus talks also about how wars will come and go and that we should not be afraid. (easy for him to say that right?) I think your question is part of that riddle. Also while I cannot definitely answer your question, I think in its totality, the whole book of Mark bewilders most people. I suggest researching the whole book of Mark and also studying Mark himself. There are many good studies about Mark and it is a book also available in original language.

There were the Jews who worshipped God, worshipped the Creator. There were those who opposed them, slaughtered them with axes, under the inspiration of a formerly true God who decided to go against the One Creator, making victims and slaves of the Jews. 4 such false gods came about this way, each making up a philosophy that people take seriously even today.Looeamong head god of Christianity inspired his mortal slaves to war, ingeniously made up details of the Christian belief. Slaves believed it, taught it to their children, became whatever Looeamong wanted becauase it is in man to worship, and not his fault that he was taught untruths. Christ is the word for All Knowledge. Jesus was a voted for name, as was Christ. The myth ideas were taken after the actual life of a Jew, stoned to death under the direction of Looeamong, then the crucifiction story set up and spread, and now the laws of the time made it illegal to worship the true, one and only Creator. Christians were told to war, to kill, and told many such things. Cannibal lines were bred with ;them;.
and there was no way mortal man could have known better or done better. False Looeamong said he would return yes. He meant it. But time has changed things.Looeamong has now seen the error of his ways. He repents in the extreme that he has led many good people wrong. His punishment is he can NEVER go behyond the lowest heaven while there is war on earth. Meanwhile those who cannot believe in the Creator cannot be allowed in lower heaven and left to live on earth. Looeamong promised to get back with them. He will do it do..he MUST raise these good lied to people. They are his responsibility. He must make it up to every one he lied to before he can advance himself. He will return and do whatever it takes.

first of all thats a very good question
im not very well built up and neither am i a perfect scholar to answer this question appropriately but the kingdom which he refers to in matt 16 is "HIS CHURCH"
and i believe that on the last day jesus is gonna come on the clouds and we will be there with HIM and there will be no more heaven and earth as in 2 peter3:10
but jesus came back once again when the disciples or apostles were alive in the form of HOLY SPIRIT its in john 14 chapter so i think that it was this return that jesus was telling to his apostles

well, some Christians will use literal interpretations of the Bible as suits their agenda and then wax allegorical when it's convenient.
they'll say that the Bible is the inerrant word of their god and then claim "mistranslation" or "misinterpreted parable" when a scripture does quite match up to the dogma of their specific sect.
cagey Christian critters that Jesus might have considered hypocrites and (according to the Bible) Jesus seemed to have a particular dislike of hypocrites.

Got it the first time. Still resurection into his kngdom. The answer doesnt come from one verse, or one phrase, you have to read the Bible in its entirity to understand it.
My answer does not change. Ive read it, I get it, its his Resurection into his kingdom, wich was witnessed by all of them except Judas.
The other answer, to the one in Mathew 24, I believe, is about his second coming, and how it will come to be before the generation of Jewish people, when given Isreal back, wich happened in 1948 will not pass until he comes again. Thats the explanation of the fig branches.

Jesus clearly is speaking of the second coming.
Here, this spot.
Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Because Jesus spoke in a lot in parables and metaphors. It's a common Jewish method of teaching that has a specific name, but it escapes my memory at the moment.

good question. somehow, I don't think they're always dodging questions more than they simply don't understand what they are defending. they are brainwashed, pure and simple. they will always evade questions like this because any answer they give comes from the bible. so it's a constant contradiction.
