Is it really possible to explain WHY you love someone? I think that there are thoughts and feelings that are unexplainable at times that come from our baggage (and could therefore be explained if they were properly explored) but don't think love can ever really be one of them. It just happens. Anyone disagree?

Explaining why one person loves another person would be about as easy as explaining brain surgery over the phone.

Love is one of those crazy things that you can spend a lifetime talking about, but never get to the point where you can say, "OH, I GET IT NOW!"

I think you can explain why you love someone if you want to sit there for a long period of time to have to explain your past and what youve been through. Plus there is never one reason why you love someone there are many things that come into play when you fall in love. Past loves/lusts, what you were taught, and what you think you want. Thats why many say no you cant explain because it can just get to complicated.

No, I think it can be explained. It does take some thinking about, but a person in love has sat down many times and thought about why they are in love with that special person so it is nothing to answer that question.

Yes. I agree that for sometimes for odd reasons, it just happens. I've been there. I've found myself caring for a man and asking myself why.???They don't give you much to go on and your needs are not being met, but yet you still care.??? The only logical answer I can come up with is, they stole a little piece of your heart and you really like them for who they are and how you feel when your in their company. ?????? OR maybe, we all must of fell down and bumped our heads?..lol ;)

The only explanation that maybe comes close to "why" we love a person is "to be loved back". Face it, we humans are selfish retards. Anything we do for the person whom we say we love are actually to gain mutual actions, and that is to be loved back.
Then again.. it's just me talking..

No. Love penetrates where reason cannot enter. That's why illicit love affairs exist. People, when in love, could not think well and are often enslaved by their emotions.

No, I don't think it is possible to give a precise reason as to why you love someone.
