It's not super super upscale but it's nothing like Hair-cuttery or anything. It seems too like "great-clips" to bring a picture of how you want you hair cut to look.to a nice hair salon. Is this okay or not?

ABSOLUTELY-you'll find if you don't take a picture most try to give you a book or something to look at to pick out what you do want. this is very helpful to a stylist to understand what your looking for especially because the customer doesn't use the same terminology that stylists use so sometimes it takes a second to figure out what your trying to say. any stylist who is offended by a picture is way stuck up-and probably won't do what you want anyway

Any good hair dresser should appreciate a photo of the style you want that way they can also let you know if it would suit you. My hairdresser would ask me to bring in a photo so she could get an idea of what I was talking about. I think it;s quite appropriate.

Definitely!!!

With a picture to look at, your stylist will know just what you want. A good stylist will know how to adapt it to better suit your face and lifestyle.

My stylist tweaked the style I picked out so I can wear my past-the-shoulders hair up or down, curled or straight. She made it it more versatile than the picture looked, and I love it!

If it's a salon where you pay $100.00 or more to a stylist to style your hair, no, that's not appropriate because you are paying them to design your haircut.

If it's not this type of salon, then yes, it's ok to bring a picture.

of course its okay! its easier to describe by pic then to explain. It is your hair and you want it how you want it RIGHT!

I say bring the pix. my ex sister in law is a stylist and a pretty upscale place and when she does my hair she always has me flip through magazines when I am unsure of what I want

nope because of the fact very often you spot a guy get there hair carried out at a salon yet constantly carry a image with you in case you desire precise effects because of the fact in case you're saying you desire some thing carried out a definite way and that they image it in yet in any different case, you have a warm mess.

of course it is okay...unless! the hairstylist you are seeing is expected to create a new hairstyle on you and your head.

i would say bring the picture, tell your hairstylist that you think this is a great hairstyle, and "will it work with my hair, and the amount of hair i have?"

if they say "no," then have them do what they can that is as close to what you have in mind.

No because it's a great way to give your salonist the best picture of what kind of hair you want. And plus, you will show it to her, and not be afraid that she'll mess up. I say, "Why not?"

Yes. Tell them exactly how you want your hair to look.

After all, you will be the one stuck with a bad hairstyle if they cut it wrong.
