Turn signals are not necessary on cars anymore. With the pace of life today, who has time to use them anyway? Just be sure that no one is in the lane you want to get into and go for it. Even if somebody is, just move over anyway and let them deal with it.
If a big truck is anywhere near, make sure you get in front of it at all costs. If you have to cut it off in heavy traffic, by all means do it. You don't want to be behind a slow, smoky old truck, do you? Trucks are such a pain. What good are they? Who needs them? They should be banned from the nation's roads, right?

Here's how bad it has gotten (and this was back in 98).
I was driving on my learner's permit at the time, so as it was I was doing everything as stated in the state driver's safty guide. I had just pulled out onto a major street in the city I live in and started speeding up, I turned on my singal to say I was going to pull into the right lain and then checked the mirrors and behind me and started to pull over, as I did this turd who was behind me, who was also speeding speeding on top of driving reclessly, decided I wasn't going fast enough for him, and changed lanes, I don't if he singled or not, he wasn't there when I started the prosses of changing lanes, as I started changing lanes, remember I was still speeding up at the time, he hit me on the right side of the car I was driving, jumped up over the right passenger side wheel and over the front corner of the hood, and back down over the bumper, and continued to go another 30-40ft after that, I was stopped, partially by me breaking, almost immidietly, and the cop held me for failure to yeald, because I told him I turned on my singal light. I'm not sure if the other person got a ticket, probably did because he was pretty close to being arrested from what I understood on the situation, but the entire reason why I got a ticket was because I said I signaled, which because of the way people dirve nowdays, and back then, was they give no warning about changing lanes, or they singal at the same time.

It sure seems like they have sometimes. Yes, I do use my turn signals - even when I am in a lane that has the turning direction painted on the street. Or when I get to a corner where there is only one direction to turn, I still use my turn signal.
Depending on the kind of day I'm having, when I encounter drivers who don't use their turn signals, my reactions range from mildly amused to irritated. The drivers at the top of my 'pet peeve' list are the ones who cut you off, then brake hard and turn. No signal, no nothing.

300 dollars a month... sounds like you drive a car Solly owned by the bank requiring you to have a certain lowest required insurance on the vehicle.Either that or you have a bad driving record or you are under 25. But to answer your question no they still make them but insurance statistics show that on certain days of the year and under certain weather conditions Less people or more, use blinkers like in the rain more people turn their lights on and use blinkers but if its sunny and the roads are dry people drive faster and are less cautious not using a blinker like on a day today. Its just unintentional human nature. Peace out dude!

Yours. you at the on the spot are not meant to anticipate that he will turn. you're meant to make confident he actual does. If he admits to having a turn signal on...he would nicely be assessed some fault for the twist of destiny. yet interior the right, it falls on you. a useless ringer for...you're pulling out onto a highway that has 2 lanes in each and each course. motor vehicle interior the lane closest to you stops and waives you out. You pull out and get hit with the help of the vehicle interior the interior lane. back, its on you to make confident the way is sparkling - not position self belief in the guy waiving you out.

I use turn signals all the time. Even if no one is around me. It's alot easier to just put the turn signal on every time you are going to turn than to comtemplate if you need to put it on.
Your insurance is so expensive because of insurance fraud, not the lack of turn signals.
"Insurance fraud costs Americans at least $80 billion dollars per year, or nearly $950 for each family, according to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud."
Ouch.

i own 2 trucks and a car, and pay 1200 a year; thats 100 a month. i don't think turn signals has anything to do with it. i think someones driving record isn't that great, or they are hi risk, or they drive vehicles of great value, and therefore expensive.maybe they live in an area of hi crime; i dunno. all of these thing are directly the responsibility(or decision) of the original poster. sounds like crybaby whining to me.

2 trucks, and a motorcycle and I pay 75 bucks a month for insurance. I think alot of it is location you live at, driving record, age, type vechicle. etc....
I always use my turn signals, if anything else- they will cover your butt if you do have an accident. use 'em
