Yes, they do cry. Do they shed tears? No.

I don't think dogs have tear ducts so my answer would be no they don't cry. That doesn't mean that they can't become sad, depressed or express pain or dislike using sound or actions. When my 12 year old Chow passed away at home, my Old English Sheepdog that was 6 1/2 months old at the time emitted two gut wrenching HOWLS immediately after she passed. I had the Old English Sheepdog for ten years after that occurrence and he never once howled again.

Yes they sure do. Did you see the movie Eight Below? When the first dog is killed, you hear the other dogs cry. That's exactly the sound they make. I don't know what Disney did to capture it but it's such a sad sound. Dogs will cry when they lose someone they love, and some will even cry when you cry. They're such amazing creatures! I'm so in love with them...

I'm pretty sure dogs do cry .It sounds like a high pitch howl or a bark.

yes, they sure do especially puppies. They make a squeaky squealing noise and that is them crying.
