Now the funnies have finished, on to the serious side of the answer.

The feeling known as deja vu has been experienced by almost all people. You feel as though you have lived that moment before, however the reality is not so clear cut.
The human brain can handle information analysis at pretty close to light speed, hence the way that subliminal messages can be passed through a television screen. Occasionally the brain 'catches up' with itself and deals with all the senses delivering information at its highest speed (pretty dam quick!)
This information gets written to storage (memory) instantly so that the perception is that the event is ALREADY in the memories of the individual - hence the deja vu feeling

Hi,
of couse I have.
Even firecats' answer was coming along to haunt me.
If you want to get technical about it, it when the synapses of the brain do a bit of a"short circuit" and relay information, usually visual images, faster than normal, so the memory bits considers that this has happened before.
I have "been" to places twice before I arrived there.
Weird.
Happy whatnots.
Now why are the twinkling lights outside on before I clicked the switch ?
Bob.

It's called seeing or foresight and yes. I'm experiencing it as I answer this question. You can experience it repeatedly and generally for some particular reason or warning.

No, I never dropped acid.
