I have problems that I need to talk about to someone, but I am a Christian and I need a conselor or therapist that has Christian values. Does anyone have any advice?

My daughter had issues that were best dealt with in counseling. It took us several tries to find a good match for her - all that we looked into were Christian. Yes, someone with Christian values is important, but you may have to go through several until you find a good match for yourself - keep trying.

Just look carefully and get referrals as you would for any therapist.

My sister and her husband are Evangelical Christians. They have seen two different Christian based therapists. The first one just told my sister to shutup and be submissive. The second was actually helpful and worked with the issues art hand.

Your pastor may know a Christian therapist.
Find one that works for you, some just might not be able to relate to your problems.
If there are two of you, you both must try one or two, and agree on one. Then work with that one together.

I went to one years ago. Not sure it helped much. Encouraged me to stay in a marriage that was clearly disfunctional (alcohol abuse) becuase that is scripture based.

If they are just religion problems talk to your priest, if they are REAL psychological problems then talk to a licensed psychiatrist
