my mother has a blood clot in her left arm and her arm is so swollen. She is always elevating her arm and the swelling goes down but if she puts her arm down the swelling comes back. How does the fluid go away? it seems as if its stuck in her left side. We have told the doctor but he said the swelling will go down in 2-3 weeks. I dont know if thats true because the fluid isnt going anywhere else besides staying in her body. And also i know there are people dealing with these blood clots, is their any advice you can give to let us know what to prepare for and what else we can do to help her? and has your blood clot went away? if so how long did it take? i really appreciate any advice you can give.
