I've caught perch in Canada and they were frozen for 3 days. When I got home they came back to life when I defrosted them in the sink with cold water.

One a fish (or any living thing) dies, it's not going to come back to life by thawing it out. You might find this interesting though. Years ago a family in Buffalo, NY went fishing and caught some catfish. When they got home that night they put them in the freezer still alive. A few hours later they took them out and put them in water to thaw them so they could clean them and one started swimming around. They called channel 7 News in Buffalo and told them their story and of course they were skeptical so they called the NYS DEC and asked a biologist if it was possible. He said the metabolism of the fish was slowed down by the low temperature and since the fish wasn't in the freezer long enough to freeze it was possible the fish could revive in the water.

If a fish is frozen solid then it will die and it will not be able to come back to life.
