Yes I have two sisters that were born when I was 13 @ 14. Our mom worked 2nd shift as a nurse, and alot of overtime to support us. Both my sisters called me mom when they learned to talk. We are best friends today,a and have alot of fun together. I am the one who remembers their first everything, it's great.

I don't but have alot of it in my family. I think it must be a great experience for both siblings. It teaches the older ones the care & nuturing of what a child of their own requires. the younger 1 gets a chance to open up on topics they may not discuss w/a parent. A frind of mine has 2 girls 30 yrs apart. the sisters hardly no e/other & don't get along.

Yes, my younger sister is 11 years my junior. When I was a teenager I felt a bit like a second mom for her. I would babysit and that sort of thing. It was a big help to my mom.

It's very different now that she's well in to her twenties, we treat each other as adults. I'll always be her big sister though!

I dated a woman once who was 17 when her sister was born. She took a LOT of crap about it. People thought it was OK to be judgemental thinking she was an unwed mother. When we dated, she was 29 and people still thought she was the mom.

Other than that her mom thought she was a free babysitter, she was cool with the whole thing.

I know just what you mean, I have a brother who is 11 years younger than me and he calls me mom more than he calls our mother mom, I still treat him like a son and I am 32. Its hard to describe but, I know just what you mean.
