if you are trying to make a weigh in eat a bunch of carbs, lots of bread and drink a protein shake along with your meals, eat several times a da and before you weigh in make sure you have a lot of fluids in you.

Summa wrestlers eat one large meal a day (think totally pork out); and they consume foods from all the food groups in that one meal. Consuming one meal a day slows down your metabolism. It puts your body into a 'store as much as you can' mode because the next meal may not be for some time. This is good for a permanent weight gain, not a weigh in dead line.

On the opposite end people who eat frequent small meal from one food type (think plant only or meat only or bread only) and eat frequent small (around a cup or so) meals in two to three hour intervals have a very high metabolism.

Eat lots of carbs and things of that sort, you'll put weight on in no time. Just over Christmas I have been known to gain 5 pounds, but that is with everything including all the sweets.
