I'd get the Toyota 4-runner
Nissan's tend to have too may electrical problelms
BMW looks nice but everyone I know hates it, break downs and repairs
Mercedes: Why would you want a mercedes SUV?
Lexus, maybe the bigger one. There are different reactions to the Jeep line, you either love it or hate it.
it just depends on what size you need and what you will be using it for. If for kids stick to the Honda CRV or Toyota Rav 4 with a lower base easier to get kids in and out of.
If you want a suv for real SUV life I'd consider the Leuxus but buy the Toyota.
Make a list of what you want in an SUV, then decide based upon research which to write down and look at, test drive them all and see what sits at the top. Chances are you will love one or two and the rest will fall to the side lines.

It depends on the size you are looking for and what features and how much you want to spend. Check out and test drive the Subaru Forester if you are looking for a small SUV.
