It is probably a cyst. My wife had a small lump on her arm that went dark. She went to the doctor and it was a cyst. The cyst was removed.

Dear.. it could be haemorrage (internal bleeding) or a rotten blood clot. It could block the blood supply to your lower veins and in the end cause you to be paralyzed :) Still afraid to go to the doctor?

I'm guessing it's rupture that has gotten a bit worse. Women who've had babies get them there or about there sometimes.
The naval is a common rupture site for anyone, though.
This is ONLY a GUESS.
In any case you need to see the Dr. ASAP!!!!
Take care of yourself, there is only one you!

If you've done a lot of tanning, see a doctor. A dermatologist might want to biopsy that.

It could be some form of hernia, i suggest you go & see your GP, its unlikely to be anything serious as you said youve had it for 10 years!
Good Luck

Anything that undergoes a change should be checked out by a doctor. Sometimes moles change from benign to malignant. Don't be frightened, but do please go and see the quack. Good luck.
