It seems that the earliest Christians (those who actually met Jesus) believed only that his soul had been ressurected, not his physical being. Were they wrong? The idea of an actual "physical resurrection" of a corporeal Jesus was apparently invented many years later.... look it up!

It's true as far as I can tell that "what came down from heaven went back up to heaven". The resurrection refers to the body of Christ that was dead in the earth for three days and three nights. This doesn't refer to His personal physical body but instead that of His disciples who had believed that He was the conquering Messiah and not the suffering Messiah. They fell away when He was taken away and went to the upper room (they meditated on what He had said) and realized that He had told them all along that He would not be overcoming the romans and that He had another purpose which was to herald the coming of the Kingdom of God on earth. When they realized this, the disciples who were spiritually dead in their unbelief rose from the dead in belief and understanding of what he had actually told them about His mission.

Jesus was taken down off the cross at around 3 PM on Friday and was seen being dragged away from the tomb on Sunday morning (the bible says that) That is not three days and three nights. His disciples fell away on Thursday night when He was taken away and were resurrected spiritually late Sunday. That is the true meaning of the resurrection.

The place of the burial of Jesus remains was a well known fact to the Jews. His bones are still there. The Jolly Roger or skull and bones is the sign that the Templars used to show that they too knew the physical resurrection was a hoax. They blackmailed the roman church for centuries over that one.

the good information for Christians is that we at the instant are not below the previous covenant of regulation yet below the hot Covenant of Grace by Jesus. So, this is particularly a mute ingredient for the Christian. answer to addition above: this is someone-friendly false impression. the assumption is that as quickly as you settle for Jesus into your existence and he starts to paintings on your existence attempting to combat off a sinful existence by your individual self efforts will become pointless. this is no longer a suited occasion despite the fact that it provide you the assumption... enable's say you're particularly suffering by existence and alongside comes a guy who will pay off all your funds owed and tells you issues that replace your total outlook on existence which finally ends up in you turning out to be rather happy and at peace with all aspects of your existence. Are you going to expire and do each and every of the flaws he has asked you to no longer do? could you disrespect your "savior" in that way? this is why this is a courting. this is a 2 way highway. yet because of the fact we are human we can now and lower back fail and at those situations we are forgiven. there's a difference between commiting a sin and picking to stay in sin. thank you for asking!

Jesus appeared to His disciples and then to many others in His physical resurrected body. Thomas put his finger into Christ's wounds - can't do that to a Spirit.

Some people believe that Jesus didn't really die in the first place, and some people don't believe that Jesus even existed. I am not sure what I believe about that, but I know that I don't believe that he died for our sins, or that you have to accept him as your lord and savior in order to go to heaven, or that there is even anything to be saved from. And by the way, I do believe in reincarnation, and other things that Christians tend to scoff at.

By the way, I am not going to report you...ILOVU...because I don't believe in reporting people, but I think you are rude and crass, and nobody cares how big it is!

The fact that he was killed and was resurrected is all wrong--soul or body.

no, your statement is in error.
those who saw Jesus after he arose from the dead saw Him in His body and even touched Him.
(ever read the Bible about Thomas?)
Perhaps you should reread your Bible or get a Christian one.
Merry Christmas to you!
