Did god bless us with the power to love? or did he bless us with the power to love others? Does it take two to love? What does love mean? just a way of really liking someone. If so why do they call it love, is love special, what is it? what does it mean? love is more than likeing someone. back to adam and eve, he sent them down because they disobeyed him, why does he forgive us then? he created man and woman to love, to make eachother happy and share their life together, is that why we have life? is that why we have a heart, to love others? and why do you think he created a earth and put us on it, and created man and woman, he did it so man and woman could have kids, so they can love, not for the wrong reasons. Do you think he put us on earth to love, and what is love, how god calls it?

Contrary to popular opinion, I do not believe love is an emotion. God commands us to love one another - how do you command an emotion? Rather, I believe love is an act of will - it is selfless - it is kind - it is generous. We are to love without requiring love in return.

Yes, we are on Earth to love - but not just each other - we were made so that we could have a relationship with God Almighty. Since we (including Adam and Eve) sin, we are unable to have that relationship because God is holy and cannot tolerate sin. He loves us so much that He paid the penalties for our sin Himself, Jesus on the cross, so that we could be restored into fellowship with God. God's love is the reason we are on this Earth. Share it freely with all you meet.

Merry Christmas!

In life there are 2 sides to everything (ying/yang) Love is opposite of hate. Love is the emotion we crave to be in. It can be for many things (people, animals, food, sports. art, music, etc.) It is the ideal way to be, but we are in a world full of hate. So every day we work at making ourself happy by creating the joy that love gives. You will find many people who have given up & are hateful, negative, & sad. God created love & hate. He provides us with the ability to create love & maintain it.

You are right we are here to love God and each other. God himself is love personified and we were made in his image. We were made to give and receive love. It's a fact that if a newborn baby is not cuddled and shown love physically enough they will just die because of lack of love. Our main purpose is to become like God by having unconditional love for him and everyone else.

Love is the bond between spirits. Love is the better power of interpersonal connection.
Love starts in you as does faith.
It is how you believe in using the love within you that brings connections to people, gods, goddesses or even foods.
Faith comes through love and love comes through faith but the seed of love is within you. As is the seed of faith.
God asks for you to love him and to love others. He does not force you to love. Love and faith are gifts of spirit that you give to others.

We are on earth because we have the karmic causes and conditions to be here, not because some "creator god" magically decided to spit in mud and play "toy soldier" with us at some whim known only to him/her.

"Love" is a mental construct that is defined directly in tune with the person who's deciding to "define" it according to their own mental causes and conditions, so "love" according to you doesn't necessarily define the same way according to me or someone else in the answers forum.

Of course we are here to love! To love God, and to love each other, and to learn kindness, and compassion, and to remember who we really are, and to experience everything there is to experience and everything we choose to experience, so that God can experience all, through all of us. There is nothing that God needs us to be, except who we want to be, and there is nothing that God needs us to do...except what we want to do.
