My theory is this: The younger you are and the more religious you are, the more likely you are to want big families. So please tell me how old you are, if you are religious, and just how many kids you want....

My husband and I just married on Dec. 2nd and already have one beautiful daughter. We are both 21 years old and some days our 3 year old makes us think we don't want anymore, but we do and we are trying for our second child now. I am a catholic and believe very much in my religion but I am not a church goer or someone who practices on a regular basis. My husband does believe in God and all, but is still confused about some aspects of the Bible. I talk with him about a lot because one day I do want him to totally understand how I believe and hopefully feel the same. We would like at least 2 or 3 kids, but since we are young we have plenty of time to decide if we want more than that. But keep in mind the more kids you have the more money it will cost and for a low income family then lots of kids sometimes is not the best options. Good luck if you are trying and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

I am 21....I am christian but not like hardcore religious...I have 1 5 year old son, and a baby girl due January 9th....I would like to have 1 more boy and 1 more girl (perferrably twins)....So, my total is 4....
My fiance has 1 full older brother, 1 full younger sister, 1 half older brother from his mom, and then 1 half older sister, 1 set of half older twin sisters, and 1 half older brother from his dad...although he does not clam his dad's older kids as family (they let's just say don't obey the law a whole lot)...
And then I have 1 full older sister, and 1 half older brother (he died at 4 months old....He'd be 22 yrs old today)...
I think 4, is a good number for kids....not too little and not too many...

I was the oldest of 4.. and hated every minute of it
religions encourage big families becuase it brings more people into that religion = more people to control
goverments want big families for the same reason and to eventually increase their own revenues by having more tax payers
* add to your theory - education.. higher education people have smaller families.. lower educated people have more kids
- EDUCATED people have SMALL FAMILIES... the United Nations warned a few year ago that barring Nuclear threat HUMAN OVER POPULATION is the #1 threat to our continued existance... they suggested that a long term sustainable population would be 5 BILLION - we recently passed 6.5 BILLION and you can see the problems its causing - climate change, deforestation, loss of fishing, increased pollution = more childhood cancers and asthema... loss of farm land by urban sprawl ETC

I had 1 kid then had my tubes tied.. I will NOT BE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!

educated.. religious BUT I dont beleive in the church...

When I was 36 and his father was 34, we had the only child we are going to have. We do not attend a church, but consider ourselves Christians.
