I know just what you are talking about. I have thick and frizzy hair. What you need to do is go to the salon and have all your dead ends cut off first. Don't confuse one hair problem with another. And after you do that you think that it is still frizzy, try a leave in conditioner and try to avoid hot blow dryers. get one with a dufuser and uses cool air instead of warm. And I like using VIVE. I's a new shampoo from L'oreal. AN it has diffrent kind of frizz shampoo's for different kinds of hair. I use one that is for wavy hair because my hair is wavy. They have it for straight and curly hair too. But good luck on finding one for you. We are all different in what works for me may not work for you.

My hair is straight or almost straight, thick and very frizzy. The shampoo that has helped me the most is JASÃN's 84% Pure Aloe Vera Shampoo. At least from the ones I've tried. Nonetheless, I require hair treatments (olive oil or avocado) once in a while, and serums are a good help although they do not really solve the problem, they just cover it up very well (which works for me most of the time). The problem you need to attack is lack of moisture. That is what causes frizziness and for that you need a shampoo and a hairtreatment with very moisturizing ingredients, like the ones I have mentioned. Avoid hairdryers and irons, dry your hair naturally, and when it is not too humid anymore twist it around together and leave it like that until it dries completely. Whenever you go outdoors, twist it the same way and tuck it in underneath the neck of your clothes so it stays there while you walk (you can also twist it up in a nice bow if you like). Once you are back indoors, unfold it. It will have kept its shape and moisture.
Oh! and the serum I've beein using till now is Tony 'n Guy's Moisture Injection Serum. It does the job but I will probably try other brands just to see.

your right, theres so many to choose from now, which is great.. but i would say you need to concentrate on getting a good conditioner rather than the shampoo. If i had to reccomend one ( i've tried ALOT!) i would say v05's frizz shampoo.
