I think it's ok, it sounds good to me. the only thing that confuses me is the first sentence congratulations......and the new year of 2007. It's kind of alot of thing to congratulate on.
Congratulations on the seminar of one of the shining stars of humanitarian society, also for a great philosopher, a "persons Name" and for the new year of 2007!
That sounds a little better to me, but then again I am not a genius in grammar.
