I will be in Jacksonville Beach for new year and will be fishing for redfish and spotted trout with light tackle. Can anyone suggest any good lures and/or techniques? thank you

Live shrimp on Cajun Thunders. Jerk baits. The good old gold spoon is always good. Don`t foget the Flounder, they`ll eat just about anything "jigged" in front of their noses!!! Then if all the plastics and lures fail there`s always the lowly mudminnow. Personally I prefer finger mullet, but they`re getting hard to find this time of year off the banks. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!!!!

Gold spoons with and without the spinners. shrimp both real and artificial, and the bigger beetlespin type lures would all work for you. Along with many of the Berkley Gulp baits. The easiest thing to do is ask some of the bait shops around what is working and where they are catching the redfish. Good Luck
