Depends on your state. In the state of Kansas, if the absent parent signs over all of their rights, meaning you get no visitation or anything, you NEVER have a say so in that childs life again, then NO, you dont pay child support, because you are not that childs parent any longer. Hope this helps.

every state is different, so you wont get a strait anwer here.

contact your local legal aid office. they are in all states and most counties. they go on a sliding scale, so its free to most. look in the phone book or call the county court clerks office and ask if they have it.

only if that is part of the agreement in writing and agreed upon by the judge, you want the agreement to say that the other parent will never come after you for child support

It depends on the judge you get. legally if you sign over all your writes to your ex and no longer want your child, then yes, but if the ex wants child support from you then most likely the judge will grant it.
