My BMW came with a special wallet card that has the serial number and code for the stereo, in the event the battery is disconnected. Your vehicle should have such information in the owner's manual or within the original documents that came with the vehicle. If you can't find it, you will need to take your vehicle to the dealer to have it rectified, but it will cost you. Hey, we all live and learn.

It's not like every 1999 Ford focus radio has the exact same code, and someone can tell you. If you can't find the manual, you will have to go to Ford and see if they can help you, or do without a radio. Maybe Santa can bring you an upgrade for Christmas?

a friend of mine encountered the same problem a few days ago. he went to the battery dealer who changed the battery. the guy looked something up on a computer for free and gave him a code that got the radio working. it was done for free.

You need to contact the previous owner or the salesman who sold you the car. There should have been a card with the code number on it or have you tried looking in the manual, some people write the code in there. Good luck!

Hi,
Unplug the item, plug it back in, and it should ask you for a new code.
Failing that, sell the horrible thing, pass the problem on, and buy a decent car.
Want a Trans-Am ?
