Can this go away ever,or is there a non drug way to make me more normal...

Growing can improve the condition but if you have reached adulthood without it going away then unfortunately the chances of it doing so now are slim.

ADHD is caused because 2 different parts of the brain work at different speeds. (This is why you sometimes have difficulty understanding what is happening around you) The way drugs work in ADHD is to speed the slow side up so that your brain is working in harmony with itself.

Many people have good results with diet. The major problem is that it can be very difficult to discover initially what affects you and doesn't.

Start for 1 week on a restricted organic diet of

Lamb
potato
sweetcorn
onion
salt
pepper

If you notice an improvement then you know that diet is a way ahead for you and worth sticking with (However there is always some food that somebody will have a reaction to, and if you have a reaction to one of the starter food then you are pretty miserable!

Then introduce a new food ingredient every 3 days and keep a diary of the results.

As you can see, the first 6 or 7 weeks are pretty terrible as the food you can eat is boring and repetitive, but it gets better as you find more things you can eat.

You are also likely to discover that different foods cause different reactions. My son's worst allergies are to citrus fruits where if he had something containing them he could not function, but the E100 series of additives caused him to be quite violent and chocolate made him hyper.

The first foods that you should try and introduce are the ones that you miss most and the ones that give you more variety with what you are doing with your okay ingredients.

For example chilli peppers, bell peppers, paprika and garlic are good to add flavour and you can start to have some variety.

If you like ice cream, you have to first test out the ingredients. so milk, eggs, sugar different fruits are all things that you can introduce until you have the all the things that you need to make your own organic ice cream. Once you have a large enough variety of foods that you can cook for yourself, you can then start adding the common additives that manufacturers put into food such as citric acid, preservatives, E numbers etc. You can also start trying some non-organic versions of the food you are okay with.

Overcoming ADHD through diet is a long process for you to discover what you can or can't eat and it takes a lot of discipline.

But if you succeed, you will definitely feel more normal....

Meditation despite your attention deficit... is the way. Start with 3 minutes as a goal. Learning patience is also a benefit.

you might try changing your diet my son has a slight wheat allergy and cutting out wheat(this is not easy) helps
