UMM, no i would not cook the ham inside of the turkey, Try this, cook the turkey tonight (Christmas Eve) on low, and tomorrow cook the Ham when the Turkey is done...
Then just before you surve it, stick the turkey back in the oven for a little bit to heat it up again.
Thats what my mother had always done. And now that i am on my own that is what i also do myself!

It's funny that you ask this question because every Super Bowl Sunday my friends and I enjoy TurDuckinHen. That is a turkey stuffed with a duck, stuffed with chicken, and finally stuffed with a cornish hen. I must tell you, it is the greatest meal I have all year. So, stuff away, but I would make sure you check the temp of that ham and cook both at a low heat. Somewhere around 250 otherwise you're gonna have some dried out meat. I'm thinking about 2-3 hours depending on the size of your bird and ham. Hope that helps!

shouldn't do this at all. very creative, but maybe cut the ham up and cook it in a baking dish on another rack in the oven. your turkey will dry out and overcook because the ham will take forever to cook inside the turkey. think about it, the heat has to go into the bird, then try to get into the ham.

Boil the ham while the turkey is roasting.
While the turkey is 'resting' finish off the ham in the oven!!

Why don't you put the ham in a crock pot. They are very tender and tasty cook that way. I think the ham would put too much fat in the turkey. Just a suggestion. Have fun!

NO, cook the ham on top of the stove in a large pot with about four inches of water and a lid....keep an eye on the water and don't let it go dry...slow cook for about four hours....cook on medium heat....for one hour then cut down to medium low.....If you cook together the flavors will meld and who knows what you will end up with....

You sure can. People cook Turducken's (Turkey, Duck, Chicken) for holiday meals. Just make sure that the internal temp reaches the required temperature for cooking.

It's an odd combination, but no reason why not!
Remember to take into account the combined weight of both when calculating the cooking time!
