We celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ although we know that that may not be his actual date of birth.
There is no Biblical or historical evidence to indicate the date or even the season of Jesus' birth and such things as records of births, deaths, etc., were non-existent at that time, of course. God alone knows the exact time of his birth.
This should not be of any real importance to a Christian; it certainly should not be a matter of faith. In addition, the fact that his birth is celebrated on the date of what was ONCE a pagan festival (which it is, and that's no secret ) should also not be a matter of faith to Christians. It happens that the date 25th Dec. the time of the Winter Soltice celebration in ages past, is symbollically highly suitable for celebrating his birth. The winter solstice was the birthday of the sun.
After Jesus died and the church was beginning to grow, Christians no doubt wanted and needed to celebrate his birth, one of the most important occasions in the liturgical calender and celebrations.
It is not known how the elders at that time came to the decision of celebraring it on the date of the winter solstice, but it is no doubt true that it was used as a means of attracting non-believers, ie pagans, into the church. It was a way of saying to them, "Stop worshiping the Sun, we will give you knowledge of something far greater to worship."
The winter solstice is that point during the year when the sun ceases to sink lower on its journey across the sky and is about to start rising again. It was the "birthday" of the sun; the light of the world.
Jesus was the light of the world, so no better date could be chosen for Christmas, in the absence of knowledge of the true date, than that.

What I see is people celebrating the birthday of someone named Santa. Since Jesus was not born in December, they certainly aren't celebrating his birth. Santa gets all the attention. Children are taught that Santa is their "saviour"--Santa brings gifts to make them happy and fill them with holiday spirit. Santa is loved and thought of more than Jesus ever is at this time of year. Do you think that Jesus or his Father are pleased with this? The answer is no. They do not condone lies, paganism, drunkeness or greed, which is what Christmas is all about.

It says quite plainly in the bible that God said:
"Go forth and cut a limb from the tree of wisdom. Upon the branch make it bright like light. Then place the branch up Lucifer's a*se so he be sitting uncomfortably on the tree of wisdom. Around, pile chattels to please the small people and do not imbibe too much wine.
Then, said the Lord, remember every June on my sons birthday this ceremony, or move it to December to stop those pagans spoiling my coveted celebration of myself."

The prophet Muhammad's birthday. Why do you laugh, did I say something wrong, it is not Muhammad's birthday you say? Whose birthday is it then can you tell me? December 25th, the date tells me something. If you don't know with the intelligence and sarcasm that you carry whose birthday December 25th is, how do you expect me, a simple and illiterate person to enlighten you?
Merry Christmas, Tube Dude!

Santa Claus
Jesus Christ was not even born in December, and had nothing to do with pine trees or reindeer.
But most people like to worship money and false idols.

The celebration is mostly about Santa Claus, a disgusting replacement for the real person whose birthday is supposed to be celebrated.
