My cocker-poo is only 4 months old and he came bounding into the bathroom while I was painting my toes. His face went straight into the nail polish brush. I checked, and it didn't get on his nose or eyes, just on his cheek.

DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER ! ! ! It is 10 times more caustic than the nail polish is.
Hint: hair bends, nail polish does not. We use nail polish to identify individual puppy's in a litter, and take my word for it the nail polish isn't going to be there all that long.

I've had that same problem with my chihuahua. She's so nosey, so she just stuck her face right into my nail polish! Using nail polish remover on them is dangerous. Go to your local pet store or wal-mart and pick up a bottle of Adam's Flea Spray. I know it sounds weird, but it does work. Take a cloth and poor a little bit onto it and gently rub it into the spot where the nail polish has gotten into her hair. Keep rubbing and it will come out. Adam's is made for pets, so it won't hurt them. After you have gotten it out you might want to wash him, because of the smell. It really does work. When i run out of nail polish remover at home I use Adam's Flea Spray on my nails.
Just try it, and you'll see!
Good Luck♥

If you're going to use a bit of nail polish remover, only try it if you're quite sure he won't move a lot so he doesn't get it in his eyes. Check the bottle and see how hazardous it is. Otherwise, can you trim the bit of fur off? Good luck!

You could wait for his fur to grow out, Take it for a hair cut, Try Nail Polish Remover (smell could damage dogs sense of smell), or snip it out.

DO NOT put nail polish remover on your puppy's face!! If you can't snip it out, leave it until it's grown enough that you can.
