No, "It is raining last night" is not correct grammer. If it was last night, then she is talking about something that is past-tense. When you tend to use the word 'it', it is used in present-time. If you are talking about something past-tense, then the right word is 'was'. "It was raining last night". Just like if it were raining right this very second, I would say "it is raining" or "It is raining right now." But yes, she was wrong. No that is not correct english. Correct English - "It was raining last night."

Hope this helped!

No this is not correct grammar.

"It was raining last night" or

"It rained last night"

I do not know japanese but maybe their language does not use tenses in the same way as English.

No, that is not correct. Since the event of raining happened in the past, you would have to use was, as in "It was raining last night." Is is used for something happening in the present, as in "It is raining now."

And now you tried the third parties to solve that don't you?

Okay let her read the answers and mine:

Hey girl, no problem, your boo boyfriend understand the sentence anyway right?

Though if you like to be better in english (not that important anyway) read grammars book sometimes :)

The sentence is not balanced: at one point you talk about present time or today, but you say it's last night. Easy right? ^_^
