If you are asking about a toddler/preschooler...perhaps it's still a little early to freak out. Accidents will happen. However, restrict fluids a few hours before bedtime, make sure they potty right before they go to bed and immediately when they get up. However, if they are old enough to understand the concept of "stopping the flow" when they are using the bathroom, have them do this several times each time they go to the bathroom (start, stop, start, stop, start...) this will strengthen the muscles that control the urine and just give them better overall control.

One amazing trick. I've seen it work with many children. Place a small plate or bowl full of water under the bed. You can tell the child or not that it's under the bed. Work both ways.
Personally (because I feel it's more a psychological thing) I told my child that it was under her bed and that it would stop her from wetting her bed. Worked a charm. After a few days I removed the plate and never had to use it again.

Depending on how old the kids is, try the online enuresis alarms you can buy. It worked for my 6 yr old stepson who wet the bed every night. He was cured in a week with the alarm (it goes off when the underwear gets wet).

Try not to give drinks after a certain time, kids bladders cant hold that much and if they drink before bed, its harder for them to hold it thru the night... also somtimes its emotional thing... fear, dreams, nightmares... try asking them about it.. and make sure they empty their bladders before bed. keep up on it and in time it dissapates. And a huge thing is not to make them feel ashamed, or at fault... talk about it, and let them know what they should do, and remind them. But loving is always best.

maybe you should put a pull-up on your child and stop giving your child drinks after 6pm cause thats when they tend to go to the bath room more ar you can try to get up every hour with your kid and put him or her on the potty, or maybe every half hour.
