Pls. help.... The recorded digital videos that I view using my TV is very good but when I save these videos on my computer using Sony's Pixela and also Windows Movie Maker, the video file I saved always comes out grainy. Why is this and which should I tweak, camcorder or the software?

Ok follow stephen M's advice, but dont follow matt m's, because it will get you nowhere. Basically, like he said, use one editor instead of two, which in this case WMM is the better one. Also, when your exporting and you reach the file settings part, choose other settings, then click high quality video (NTSC), since your using a DV camcorder, I assume. Otherwise, click on high quality video. These options are good because they allow for variable bit rates, which can help reduce file size based on what you recorded. Hope this helps!

Another problem may be the computer's monitor. Most of the time, the video looks 5 times better on a television screen than a computer monitor. You may have to get a better monitor, but only if you plan on showing your videos through a computer's monitor, otherwise, I suggest you burn the video to a DVD or a Blu-Ray and put it into a DVD-player or Blu-Ray Player and show it on a television screen.
