I recently bought a canon EOS 350D and it was going perfect.but yesterday the shutter release started to become a bit hit and miss.today it has completely given up.the rest of the camera is working fine but none of it is any good without the shutter release.its not even showing up the setting in the viewfinder so i think its completely broke.anyone else have this problem and would it cost much to fix??

You said the setting not showing up in "the viewfinder"? What do you mean by this? Or are you saying that the menus for all the settings are not showing up on the LCD screen?

I seriously think you should have it looked at. It might simply be a case of getting it cleaned and serviced but it could also be a more serious problem. As far as the cost - I can't tell you. It depends on what country you are in and/or where you live. The camera is still relatively new the market so I doubt very much that Canon would have a significant feedback on people with same problem as you have.

When you by used its always buyer beware. There is a counter on the Canon that can tell you how many pics have been taken with it. If the counter is up over 50-100,000 it's probably not worth fixing.

You might try contacting Canon directly and crying poor mouth a bit. Maybe they'll be sympathetic to your cause; maybe not. since the camera was bought for commercial use, I think you're out of luck.

How recent did you purchase this camera? Maybe it was defective, do you still have your receipt. I would take it back to the store depending on the store policy, you might be able to exchange it.
