Responses like "get off the web, Mohammed" and "you're an idiot" illustrate how many people would rather live in their arrogant denial than acknowledge some the ills of US foreign policy. Those are exactly the people who are doing us in. The same people that take to insults and name calling when you try and discuss this topic. Futher proof that the truth hurts.

Religion is not an answer to anything. It is the cause of most wars (keep in mind I am not singling out Christianity, I am saying religion as a whole). The problems with out nation are the same problems other nations had before a collapse (look at the Greek and Roman civilizations). What do we have in common with them? The extreme liberalness of this country. The more politically correct we get, the more we change to appease the minority (I don't mean race) groups, the more we open our borders, the more we weaken. We need to restrengthen our military. We need to start enforcing the death penalty more (let's face it, prison is like a resort to some people, its a free bed, free food, free gym, free cable and we pay for it). We need to quit catering to illegals and be more strict in their punishment. Most of all, people need to get involved in the state of the nation more. Right now, voting is at an all time low and 80% of America has no clue what is going on in Washington. We are so preoccupied with what celebrity is screwing up their life that we don't recognize what is important anymore. The problem is not a lack of religion, it is a lack of moral fortitude and intelligence. We are a divided country, that is a huge problem.

Your "question is intellectually vapid. The only peace that has any staying power is peace through strength. The United States has stood against tyranny, and that is a legacy I'm proud of. It is unfortunate that the very freedom we have allows some to hate the country that protects them. We will continue to stand against tyranny as long as freedom loving people hold the majority in the USA.
Everyone of those conflicts was initiated by aggression on the part of others and the United States responded appropriately.

It is not us, indirectly that is, it is the people that we elect into leadership roles. They are our enemy as they are suppose to work for us and most are only into it for personal gain, in both power and money. War is good for the economy until the price is paid. The human lives are not counted as a price because these people have no idea what a human life is worth. There is a revolution coming, I have seen hints of it since the 60's, when, we the people take back our government, of, by and for the people. The beauty of it is we do not have to shed blood to do it. It is written in the constitution and we can revolt by voting. Democrats and Repuglicans both better watch out or they will be on the outside looking in.

Our Government (as well as foreign governments via the military) sends us to fight. I don't agree with my government on everything. I am for world peace but apparently there are too many people in top government who will never allow that to happen.

No, you are the enemy.
You believe the world is a friendly place ,it's not.
Get out of your irvory tower and look around.
If you typed this drivel in 1/2 the countries in the world, you'd be disappeared within a week.
Go get a big bucket of reality and soak your head in it.

"Why do out citizens think we love PEACE?".......What war have we started to take over a country? We liberate and move on. We are the most powerful country and it would be wrong to sit back and watch nations be taken over.

No one has to live here in the U.S. I don't know anyone who is being held captive here. There are plenty of other places in the world to go if you don't like it here. That is one reason why it is a free country. Some people don't like peace and some people do. How many times have you heard the terms type-casting, generalizing, catagorizing???
