In Ireland we had the tinned corned beef which was never much. However, he had truly Corned Beef. Also known as Salt Beef which was a joint of the best Silverside of beef salted in brine throughout. Boiled with cabbage and tons of mashed potatoes this dish would take some beating. As I type, I can smell it and indeed taste it. Mostly here in London, Salt Beef is brisket which is not the real thing. Ah, memories......................

No I am more along the lines of cavier and filet mignon. I do however love a good New York or Miami Jewish Deli. Won't touch the stuff otherwise and only as a corned beef sandwich.

It really depends on where I'm getting it from. There's this little hole in the wall diner down the road that really knows how to make it....their breakfasts are all awesome....but I've been other places where it was too greasy, or burnt and really didn't taste well at all.
