Ouija boards do NOTHING, despite the responses you'll receive to the contrary. What happens is that people lightly touch the device with their fingers and 'ask' questions. The device then 'moves' to letters which spell out the answer. And people say it's because a spirit moved it. What is really going on is a very simple mechanism where our minds unconsciously cause our hands to move the device. It's a game made by Parker Brothers and has absolutely no magic powers. It can be fun to see how our minds work but all the silly stories that claim spirits and ghosts and whatever are just that: silly.

I am a grandmother - so have been around a few years. I see no harm in the board you are referring to - I also forget how to spell it. There are SOME who believe they are related to the occult - I never worried about that. I let my children play with them and nothing bad ever came of it. You and your 12 year old friend are the perfect age for having some fun with the board as long as you don't take it TOO seriously. The basic idea of the board is that you and your friend would each place your fingers very lightly on a small thing that rests on the board. You then ask it a question and, supposedly, if you are both thinking hard, your fingers will lead it to an answer - or spell out the answer. Like the Magic Ball that one asks a question and an answer comes up in the window - fun but don't take it too seriously either. I would happily give one of them to my grandchildren without concern. This is just one old lady's opionion.

They're harmless, and fun for about 15 minutes, until you find out who exactly is pushing it.

If you want to test the validity of the ouji, ask it a question that nobody at the table knows the answer to, but can easily be researched, such as, "Oh powerful spirit, who is the President of Cambodia?".

Then you'll see that either you or your friends were consciously or subconsciously pushing the oracle, and you can get a good chuckle out of things and get on with life.

At least that's what happened to me.

...Stay far away from them. They are a gateway into Satanic activity and the occult. God's word condemns all such activity - that is, using the occult to find out the future.
...Check this link:

...Look only to God, trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ, for guidance into your future.
...Whosoever will, may come.

It verges on the occult and many young people have fallen into satanic thing starting with a ouija board. My wife was very much in to it as a teenager, and we had a lot of problems with "demons" later on in our marriage which we were able to trace back to her "occultish" days. Many people think it is just a game, but if you have serious intentions of following the Christian life and truth, stay away from it.

Jessica, honey, that's a Ouiji board and, sugar, you don't want that!

It's psychics tool to talk with the dead, honeychile.

You don't want to go there, ever!

Now you go find a nice little board game that's not into this wierd stuff, you hear me, young lady?

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Ouika boards can be VERY dangerous unless you use some sort of spiritual protection. that discriminates what type of entities are allowed to communicate through the board.

I would recommend that you leave it alone.

Later when you have grown mentally and spiritually, and have learned psychic self defence; that is another matter.

They take your imagination and make you think that you are contacting spirits. Since there aren't really spirits, it is quite safe (though not very rational) to use.
