There are two men in the ad in an apartment together and no one else, no girls. We see the younger guy helping the older one download tracks for his iPod. Then, a voice says:" This Christmas buy HIM Gillette Fusion." Then we see the younger guy standing in the doorway of the bathroom watching the older guy shave! You could say they're related, but it looks odd for one guy to watch another guy shaving. They look like a gay couple.

There was an old rule when advertising men's products. You always showed three guys together instead of two in case people thought they were gay. I'm just wondering if this is the first time a company has started to target the gay market, even if it is indirectly (they don't say the guys are gay, but they very heavily imply it).

There is a lot of money to be made in targeting "The Pink Pound." Nobody else has had the nerve to tap into that market yet, the first ones that do will make a fortune.

you have basically verbalized the information that "environmental impact is to blame for infants being gay" is bogus. I, too, never observed 2 men kissing on television whilst i became starting to be up. i did no longer additionally be attentive to the be conscious "gay", i did no longer even think of two men or 2 women human beings could stay collectively and be a family participants. I grew up in a Baptist domicile, went to Baptist faculties (from kindergarten to severe college) and attended Baptist church homes. If we've been to stick to the "environmental impact" thought, I may be the main homophobic bigoted individual precise now, sprouting Bible verses to justify my hate for gay human beings. (Which, have faith me, would be a sturdy area of one too many Sunday sermons - hating homosexuals.) and that's yet another remarkable element you raised. The fumdamentalists will do something to boost their reason, no remember how ill and twisted it seems to us, like utilising harmless infants as their "armor" against us, utilising teenagers to justify their stance that by some potential, we can "pervert them". I even have considered, from the pulpits, how pastors and preachers call each and every call and each vile description at something they have not got faith in, and spew hate from the very pulpit of God, who became somewhat all approximately love. even with all this religious indoctrination, i'm nonetheless gay (I constantly knew, because i became 9.) we are gay because of the fact we are gay, era. in case you think in introduction (as I do), i've got faith God made me this sort. How we "grew to become" gay is unimportant; what concerns maximum is HOW we are residing our existence, even nonetheless we are ostracized for basically BEING who we are. and that i'm happy to affix an area that has lots love and help to furnish and flow around with, that believes in our inherent goodness as human beings.
