If I want to invest dollars I go to the bank first, but where do I go if I want to borrow some lives to invest?
Do you think Rice would mind if I invest HER life? Do you think she will have a good Christmas? What about the “lives”, or their families, will they have a good Christmas too? Is that kind of cold hearted, arrogant, insensible, inappropriate way of thinking and way of talking typical American or what?
And I am not saying I am in favour or against the invasion of Iraq, that is not the issue here.

USA is the Hitler now, with military and CIA bases all over the World.
“Terrorist organizations and terrorist states are funding the groups that are fighting against us all over the world, not just in Iraq”
USA funded bin laden, and other groups all over the World, not just in Iraq.
“Anyone stop to think why we have not been attacked at home since 9/11?”
Anyone stop to think why we have been attacked in the first place?
“It would be a good change for you to get angry with the terrorists that attacked and killed three thousand of us on 9/11”
And how many did USA killed with their Imperialist politics, economic global actions, kills directly and from hunger, etc?
“Thier kids are in private schools or college”
You are right about that!!! But nothing stop them from going to war if they desire to!

“young men and women fighting this war are not draftees. They are not stupid”
Yes, they are, many people that join the army are ghetto people or from prisons, and the Special Forces are the most brainless.
“Many of them go back for another tour because they want to”
Yes, they really want the money, and to enjoy killing stupid iraq people.
“enemy that wants to end our way of life and impose thier way of thinking on us”
Maybe someone tried to impose your way of thinking on them FIRST!

I am in agreement. Her statement was very insensitive and equated the lives of our military to a "resource" instead of the people that they are. It is apparent that the "investment" has not impacted her personally and that she does not have a full understanding of the personal toll it is taking on over 2,000 American families of dead soldiers or the children who will be without parents this holiday season.
It should almost be required that anyone who votes for an invasion must have a immediate family member serving on the front lines and not some desk job. Then we might see a change in attitude towards the decisions people make.

"And I am not saying I am in favour or against the invasion of Iraq, that is not the issue here. "
Who are you trying to kid? It is obvious that you are not in favor of the war from reading your opening statement.
Do you think it was worth the "investment" to defeat Hitler and the Japanese in WWII? What keeps getting washed over and apparently forgotten is that we are fighting an enemy that wants to end our way of life and impose thier way of thinking on us. This has been clearly stated by osama bin-ladin. Terrorist organizations and terrorist states are funding the groups that are fighting against us all over the world, not just in Iraq. When will you folks get it through you heads that these are the same people that trained the bastards that flew the planes on 9/11? They want to kill americans in great numbers. I am not making this up. They have made more than one public statement to this effect. They want to kill you, you kids, your country. Wake up! We can't play nice with these people. If we withdraw from Iraq, bring the troops home, do you really belive these terrorists will just go away? This would only encourage them and attacks against this country would increase. Anyone stop to think why we have not been attacked at home since 9/11? It's because we are keeping the terrorists busy in other parts of the work, keeping them off balance. They will try to hurt us again. Look at the recent plot that the British stopped. The terrorists were going to blow up several large planes full of innocent people as they were crossing the atlantic. This had been in the planning stages for years.
It would be a good change for you to get angry with the terrorists that attacked and killed three thousand of us on 9/11 instead of spending time being angry with the government that is trying to fight them and keep them from hitting us again.
I doubt that very many of the government people in washington have kids serving in Iraq. Thier kids are in private schools or college. Remember, the young men and women fighting this war are not draftees. They are not stupid. They know that when they enlist, there is a good chance they will see service in Iraq. Many of them go back for another tour because they want to. You don't see that on the news, do you. All that gets reported is when 1 soldier out of thousands decides not to go. Then, its a big story.
I think history will show that it is worth the investment if we keep fighting to win. I am talking as a veteran, having served for 10 years in the Army, in a combat outfit.

Funny, I don't see her "investing" any of her children. I haven't seen a drop in gas prices since the election either...personally I think the only reason why the gas prices when down then is because the republicans were afraid of what would/did happen in the election...and now they don't give a darn about us or the men and women in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, or anyplace else for that matter!

you're precise, neither her existence nor her money is in touch in this fiasco, I even have been against the war from the beginning up, it has honestly no longer something to do with the war on terror which would be gained basically via utilising intelligence and not via tension. In case anybody of people who're professional war have an interest, we are dropping Iraq. a transformation in path is somewhat mandatory and whilst Bush is playing lip provider to it, i do no longer see any variations different then putting greater sturdy American lives and money at stake and that's like throwing sturdy money after undesirable. The thoughts lie in development magnificent forces and not in occupying forces in the middle east, we additionally could carry friendly international locations on board to help us in the international combat. it somewhat is basically going to take place as quickly as we give up occupying us of a's and as a replace flow after people who're in touch in attempting to kill human beings.

War is ugly..always has been. War IS about killing the enemy, it's not about having a group hug to work things out! Until you get that thru yout head you will be miserable.
