Not if done professionally, they do not go deep enough to reach your blood stream.....You should be more worried about sterility.

Don't think you can get poisioning as such but I had one weird tattoo experience whilst getting the outline of an existing ok tattoo touched up by a different artist, the guy went too deep or pressed to hard, im not really sure but basically afterwards it bruised up badly and now 6 months later i still have a slight green tinge around it like a fading bruise but its not going away. I have gotten the opinion of 2 other tattooists who tell me that my skin pigment has been dyed permantly by this idiot and only way I can get rid of it is to have a design around it to cover it up. This is not very common thing to happen and it has not put me off getting anything further done but I would advise anyone to go to a recommended place where you can see past work or if you have any mates who have good tatts ask them where they went, if a place is busy too then thats always a good sign, etc.

Nope, or at least not professional grade inks.

Although, some people are allergic. Nothing even remotely dangerous, but the skin will try to push the ink back out and it itches 4 times worse than a normal tat. I know, I just found out I was allergic about a month and a half ago. I had my nurse mother give it a look-see after about 3 days because my artist had never seen a reaction like mine before.

ROFLMAO, No you cant get ink poisioning unless you use poisonus ink. However what you can get is some other nasty infections, which untreated could cost You an arm or a leg, seriously it can be that dangerous. If You have the slighest concern about the tattooist's standard of hygeine bring this to their attention, if You are in ANY way dissatisfied with their response, GET UP AND LEAVE, it really is that simple.

No, that is an old tale that parents tell there children so they won't get them. It's an old steriotype that is still around today. They don't give you ink posioning if done with the right kind of ink. It's called Indian Ink and it won;t hurt you!
Good Luck and if you do decide to get one, get one for a reason and not just to be cool. You will regret it later.
