Everyone loses hair everyday. Don't worry about it unless it is coming off in clumps. Then you should see a Doctor. If the clumps are made up of broken hairs due to over brushing or combing then don't brush so often. As for dandruff, I had a serious case of dandruff for years. I tried every product on the market. The majority of them were terrible or smelled bad. When I tried Head & Shoulders it worked great. It takes a couple of weeks to take effect. I have been using it for 20 years. There are head & shoulder brands with conditioner and some with scent. Try one out. I also use the generic brands on occasion and they have the same ingredients. Also, make should the water is not extremely hot. Hot water also dries your skin.

The balding might be just a natural result of age, and maybe you can't do anything about it besides hair plugs. But dandruff can be defeated. I agree totally about the vinegar -- what I do is put a half cup of cider vinegar in a washbasin of lukewarm water, and swish my head in it as a final rinse. Another good hair rinse for dandruff is making a strong tea out of chamomile, rose petals, rosemary and lavender -- about a tablespoon of each, wrapped up in a pouch or washcloth. Put in the wash basin, and swish your head in it. It smells great, and really leaves your scalp and hair nice. Also, watch your diet. I have more problems when I eat too much sugar. You could try the new shampoo, but I've never had luck with a commercial shampoo. They've always made me itchier.

Put lemon juice on your scalp before shampooing. Use a medicated shampoo called Scalpe for damdruff. Make sure you use some other shampoo after the first wash with scalpe. If your hair is falling, your second shampoo could be Dove Strengthening Shampoo. You can use Dove conditioner or any other. Make sure you do this at least twice a week. After there are any results, you can alternate between this procedure and using Garnier Fructis Anti Dandruff shampoo and conditioner.

dandruff is caused by a fungus. There is a shampoo that's been out for many years called Selsun Blue. This is over the counter and not much more than a regular shampoo. The ingrediants in this can help treat dandruff.

For me, I've found that if I use certain shampoos, I get dandruff and a dry scalp very badly, but if I use one shampoo alone, my hair stays fine.

Also, for better answers see a dermatologist. They can help you a lot better.

If one is unable to take care of one's hygieny matters relating to one's hairs, it results in dandruff. One should wash hairs regularly with good shampoo to avoid such a siutation. For treatment of dandruff, the fastest possible
solution is to use good anti-dandruff shampoo, available in one's market. In fact, there are several anti-dandruff shampoos available in the market but if one thinks internationally, it is the Head & Shoulders, produced by a hundred years old USA company known as Proctle & Gamble (i.e. P & G). In case, one is not satisfied with anti-dandruff shampoo/s, one should consult dermatologist (Skin care specialist doctor). If one is suffering from chronic dandruff problem, one may suffer from quick hair falling, which results in hair thinning and baldness. Good Luck. Take Care. Yong Kang.

Try using diluted mouthwash at the last rinse. I read that works by killing the stuff that causes dandruff. Do it once a week.
