I am doing a butterfly wedding theme. In June. My colors are David's bridal pool (aqua) white silver. I wanted to give each table there own specific butterfly. Ex: Monarch-the table would have monarch favors, monarch decorations and a little info about the monarch butterfly. the next table would be swallowtail butterfly etc. Do you think that this would crash my wedding colors? Should I just stick with white aqua and silver butterflies? and not the table theme? Is there a creative way to do them both? Thanks!!!

Keep the Table colors in Pool, white, silver. Table cloth, linens, floral arrangments. But I really like the theme. especially if you are doing seating arrangements. Then people can be listed at the front as at the Monarch Table. Just when you are picking the butterflies that have a bunch of alt colors (reds and oranges) they shouldn't be the whole centerpiece. So when you are looking from the door overall you still get the pool and silver colors. I would do a floral arrangement that has a lot of white and silver--and the name above the arrangement in those colors--so that they could read "Monarch" rather than see a Monarch. That way you can find your table even if you don't know 7-15 different species of butterfly. Then you could put a smaller Monarch butterfly in the arrangement, on the table tops you can put all the info about the butterfly--it wont affect the overall look from the door. I would keep my favors more just general butterfly. Or even just a pool and silver butterfly. so that everyone has the same favor. Yes you are going to see more colors (oranges reds blues purples) but if you make your whole table be the color of that butterfly its gonna look more like your theme was Gumballs. Keep the individual butterflies as a subtle accent to make the whole room blend. Overall I really think it sounds gorgeous!

It's Great that you want to have a "theme wedding", but please don't let yourself get carried away with to many details of picking out different butterflies for each table. I would suggest that you stay within your color theme, agua, white, and maybe into the pastel colors or go strickly with the blue shades....just decorate the tables with your butterflies, no info is needed because I'm sure guests will not be into reading material at that time, I would incorporate some butterflies on my Cake and deserts as well. I have seen Butterfly Drink Stirrers, they come in an array of colors, you may want to go that route hence leaving your guests with a little gift, these could be put into the water glasses at each setting, or you could float some in bowls with floating tea-lights...just an idea. Check out your local craft stores too, you may be surprised at what you will find. Don't over do any of your colors, especially the silver, (save the silver for your 25th anniversary!) just have fun with it. Congratulation's and Best Wishes To You and Your Fiance'.

your idea is lovely

in my opinion too much colors will make you dizzy

what makes the wedding so unique is the soft calm colors
because they are sample for the pure love

ill tell you what colors you should go with

first of all if i were in your place i wouldn't choose the silver to go with aqua that the first thing

your know there are different kinds of butterflies with variety of colors and shapes right so you mustn't be so worried about the colors

the spring colors which include pink purple the color of the blue sky the white the caramel the yellow and vanilla (rainbow color)
all of these colors will be great with the aqua color
and am sure of that
stick with these colors and don't use any strong dark color like red ....

use the above suggestions and you won't regret it
they will make a great Fancy atmosphere with lovely white roses with vanilla color

good luck with all what you are going to do

Let me start by saying this idea is adorable.
Let me go on to say I think you are out of your mind! I would imagine you have enough to do getting all the details on a regular wedding taken care of, let alone a theme wedding, then a theme per table wedding? Whew!
I love the idea, but if you have to have it, let the wedding planner take care of it. There's no sense being so frazzled on your day that you can't enjoy it.
Oh yeah, I think it would also be too many colors, too busy, one is bound to clash with your wedding colors.
One last thing, be sure the conditions are right for the butterflies and they are native to your location. Follow the link below for some info.
Congrats, good luck, HTH

I would keep the same colors throughout but will probably name each table a different type of butterfly and include a picture of it on the table sign. That way you still keep your colors but have something different for each table. I think your idea sounds very original and pretty.

I would make the butterflies out of lace and silk fabrics, and make them sheer fantasies, not related to organic butterflies. Unless you are both naturalists and the guests might expect it, I would not turn the wedding dinner into a zoology lesson! And with fantasy butterflies, you can maintain your color scheme without a problem.

i imagine human beings might want to be at liberty to have the opinion that they opt for. they should manage to exhibit there opinion, and those who hear (which should be a lot of folk) must have an open concepts, and perchance replace there opinion. some reviews received't grow to be something, regardless of the indisputable fact that it doesnt propose there valueless. regardless of if no man or woman treasures your opinion, you should. Its what makes you who you're.

Firstly this is you and your fiances wedding,so you guys need to decide together which looks best.Even though he's a guy and probably doesn't care.If that does't work ask your bridesmaids or maid of honor,or maybe your mom.If you can't decide stick to your wedding colors just so you know you're safe.

if you put the favors in the same box...it dosent matter if they are different...and if you want, you can use silver writing to lable each table...so that the colors are the same but the names arn't...great idea.

Aqua is a best color if the background color is lighter
