I really don't understand this. Girls my age always date the assholes(who never want a serious relationship, the only thing they're after is sex), and then complain when the guy cheats on them. But no matter how many times I hear about how women want to date a nice/good guy(who is serious about a relationship), they never do.
I just don't get it. I'm a nice guy, and by those standards, I should be dating...but I'm not. I also always look for somebody who has a great personality, is nice and caring, and we're on a 'friends' basis...something I also always hear that women want, but I've never personally seen.
Are there women out there who actually want a 'best friend/nice guy' and not an asshole?

i beleive most women do want a nice guy, but has gotten stuck in a routine.
maybe you are looking in the wrong place for the type of woman you desire. i think those that be at the clubs most of the time are just looking for a good time, and not a good man. they probably think any guy that would have sex on the first meeting are just looking for a good time woman, whereas a woman, if she does fall prey to sex it's usually because of the alcohol she has consumed. meet one when they are sober and talk to them then and i'm sure you're find that they are looking for a good man but think all they can get is a one night stander.
try looking other places or not engaging in anything intimate and see how it goes.

You're focusing on others. relationships are complex. When was the last time a young women sat down with her mother and her mother put in motion what a real relationship is all about?
We have as a society taken ourselves away from this. We rely on others to teach our children.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself and be a man!! God has a women for you, and he knows exactly your hearts desire!!
Focus on becoming the right person and live a thankful life. Wake each day and make the choice at your rise that it's going to be a great day!!
Then learn a little bit......no a lot about relationships and people. It's what makes the world go around. Stop asking questions and read!! Be prepared! Stimulate others with your knowledge and let your only motivation be to help others. Sitting around complaining about women will only get you negative press from others.Look in the mirror at your soul. Stop thinking those other guys are lucky. They aren't. They are smucks and will one day find themselves very alone!! In the meantime, grow up and have some patience...........pray for enlightment and thank God you have life in a wonderful world where you don't have to beg for a meal!!!

MMMM...sorry...no...it is an illusion. If you were a christian, and you were seeking a good christian girl, I would tell you yes...but if you are seeking a girl that is not a christian, then I would tell you even though she says something different, her flesh is drawn to the bad guy...it is more exciting...and there is always that thing in a woman that because she is different (special)...she personally can make a difference in that mans life....and that would really mean he loves her, if he commits to her. This is mostly unconscious, and would never admit it...but it is my observation of being true. People that are not Christians, but really don't do bad things in life, tend to be stuck in no where land....It is difficult. Sorry. The good news....find the Lord....and things could be on the up swing.

Women have this thing in their brain (from memory) in the medulla obbligato. It's been in there since the cave man days that a bad boy will kill the beast, drag it home and protect her from the other cave men. In 2006/7 the better choice is the guy who will get his degree, get a kick *** job...and be able to afford a brand new soccer mom vehicle. Women need to consciously recognize this and overcome it. A lot don't and end up alone as the good guys are taken away.

No. There aren't.
Women want to have sex with the bad boys.
They want you for your money, not your personality. Do you really think she gives a crap if you're "sensitive to her needs"? You're a ******* meal ticket, and a breadwinner to raise the kids while she runs off and bangs some more bikers on the side.
"Best friend"? Gimme a break. If a girl wanted a male best friend she'd just call up her gay buddy.
Ever since I adopted my new policy of "treat women like trash", I've been more successful getting girls into the sack than I ever did trying to treat each and every girl like a princess. I think that says something.
Everybody says "when it's time to get married, the girl will choose you!" and she will. Guess what, she's done having fun. You got to bow and scrape to the assholes for the first half of your life, and now you get to clean up their mess AGAIN. Do you consider that "winning"? I don't! Sounds to me like you are just getting used.

Girls who go after bad boys have low self confidence. You don't want to be involved with them yet. Give them a few years, let them learn their hard lessons and then they will come around. In the meantime, why don't you look around for some good girls. The are probably in the library, studying books and making something out of themselves.

i can relate to this (when iwas a younger man ) this used to bug me no end .
you went out with a girl and they'd enjoy you and all that , but then they would come across with a stupid line like " your to good for me ," etc ; etc .
it used to annoy me no end because i was always brought up to be courteous and mannerly to the 'fairer ' sex like open a door for them , lead them into an entrance first , and so on , in general -- just manners . when you get knocked back for applying this logic constantly --- it can be very ,very frustrating --- and I'm surprised it still goes on .
i can only wish you well in being polite , sadly i think values have gone out the window ( although as i say , it's a while since i went courting ) anyhow good luck ana merry Xmas .

yes, of course we do want nice guys. Maybe you're hunging with the wrong type of girls...
I'm in the same situation as you... all I meet are jerks who want nothing but to hop from one bed to the other. It's hard to find a nice guy around here. So, I kinda gave up... it's sad actually!!!

U must be a teenager, coz at our age most girls have no idea what the right guys are, even we go for the most hot chick, sometimes a lesser exotic yet beautiful chick is the right one.
