The driver side rear door on my golf won't open from the outside, but opens fine from the inside, is this a big job to repair?

take inside panel off and check the bar on the lock is in place .
easy job.there is a bit of metal same as a coat hanger that has a clip this clip has come off it will still be on the bar so all you need to do is clip it back on...

not really ..remove inner door panel .pull back plastic film .and you should be able to see the door handle connection..if struggling get a Friend to operate door handle then you should be able to see how the connection has come apart

Not really, should be easily repaired once you make sure the children security lock is not blocked.
