Very often. A brother of a friend of mine died when I was young.

If you think about it, though, we all die young. Life is short. Live it well. It's the only one you get.

Yes I have had it happen and people dying young happens all the time. Depending on how they died, you often wonder what you could have done to prevent them from dying in certain situations. A very much younger friend of mine was on his way to Texas to work on the harvest crew (we live in Montana). He was only 19, and I was and still am in my 30's. Well, he and another guy got as far as Oklahoma, on New Years Eve. They were out for awhile and ended up meeting with trouble. My friend got stabbed to death over being robbed and it was the worse news we had ever had. I had only seen him a few days before and I never knew that the day he came to visit me would be the last time I would ever see him again. To this day his family is still grieving. (This happened Dec, 2001) and many of us still think about him alot. Anyway, it is so sad when someone that young dies. This is why we should always be ready. I am now a born again Christian. God has helped me alot. I hope you too will get the same comfort. Just pray and God will comfort you. Take care and God Bless.

I lost a son at 21 and a daughter at 46.

Both of those are young when it comes to death.
He should have lived another 60 years and she should have lived another 40 years.

I was born with a bad valve in my heart, and was told I would not live past 21.
I have beat that by 48 years, and finally had the valve replaced 7 years ago.

I am sorry to hear of your loss.

I had a best friend at school, who went on a camping holiday with the scouts one summer. He fell to his death over a cliff. I only found out when we got back to school the next term. It did leave me feeling very empty for some time, but also brought home the fact that you can be taken at any time.

Live every day as if it is your last.

Everyone experiences loss sooner or later.

I lost a very good friend when I was 7. She was 7 as well and died from Leukemia.

I know you are going through the assorted assorted stages of grief from shock, denial, anger, and finally acceptance.

Do the best you can do to take things one day at a time until you work through your grief.

That sucks. Just last few months I found out that the older brother of one of my friends died from heart failure. I met him once or twice, but never friends like I was with his sister. And just last week I found out this one kid I had classes with committed suicide because his girlfriend dumped him. Back in high school this other guy I spoke to was murdered (stabbed over 80 times) by a gang because they mistakenly thought he was in the opposite gang when in fact he was not gang affiliated at all.

I'm 22 by the way.

When I was in 8th or 9th grade I heard that a classmate from 5th - 7th grade blew his brains out. The weird thing was that I didn't care one way or t'other. Didn't feel a thing. I've never grieved for anyone that died. This even surprises me but it just isn't in me to feel bad about somebody dying.

Yes. That's sad. I'm guessing it was most likely a road accident.
We can go at any time.....
