cause like everysingle night like around 2am to 5am this cat keeps on coming by for some food. it stares inside and gets my cats all excited yet nervous at the same time and i do admit somtimes i feed her (i think its a girl cause she has a gentle voice) and after she eats the food i give her she still lays by the door and/or stares inside my cats stare right back at her. my boy actually meows alot when he sees her as if hes saying someones there. why dose she stay by us. also i think she belongs to my next door neighbor cause i think ive seen this same cat in their window during the day but only during the day not at night. do some people let there cats out at night? also should i keep on feeding her? my cats are indoor cats 100% of the time. could they be jealous?

Maybe you could speak with your neighbor. I had this happen to me once and it turned out their cat was pregnant and came by for extra food. They should be providing enough food for their cat.

I have my own two cats and feed them two cans of food a day. There is more than enough food for the two so I take about 1/3rd of the food and give it to two neighbor's cats, sometimes a third cat shows up.
One of the neighbor's cats that regularly shows up at my garage door is 17 years old. Has arthritis and a few "growths" on her body. Probably not long for this world. Loves to have her chin and neck rubbed and scratched. Since I have been feeding her for two years now, she appears to be healthier and her fur is thicker. It had been getting thin in areas. I also put flea killer medicine on the nape of their necks twice a year to prevent them from getting the mange from allergies to fleas.
I'll give them an extra treat tomorrow to make the day special for them too!
I do have to be careful though as there are plenty of raccoons, opossums, and even an occasional bear in the neighborhood eating whatever is available.

The cat will probably continue to come to your door, as long as you feed it. I feed several strays outside, and I have four indoor cats of my own. I feel bad for the strays, so I feed them all the time. However, I have to work on finding them good homes. Maybe you can check with your neighbor to see if it's their cat. If so, then it already has a home, and you don't have to feel obligated to feed it all the time. Your cats could be territorial, if they are "growling" when they see the cat at the door. Or maybe they are just curious, if they are simply meowing.

I think you should keep feeding it. It likes you and maybe it's not getting quality or enough quantity of food at home. Maybe put out a box on the porch so it can have a bed to lay in. I did that with my neighbors cat. I'd let it in the house and everything. When I would see her light on I would walk the cat back to her house. She just left that cat locked in her house for days with no one there. The poor kitten cried and cried at the window. I felt so bad. She moved and I still wonder about the poor kitten. I should have asked for him.

You should not feed a cat from outside, cause' she'll keep distracting you and ask you for more and more food. Then when you give her plenty of food other cats would got by your door and also ask for food! So I guess the best thing for you is not to feed it, maybe you can feed it but, maybe not from you door.. And also you gotta think about your indoor cats!

I fed a cat that would show up on my doorstep. She is now a member of my family and has been for 2 years. She is one of the best cats I have ever had. I think she is so grateful that I took her in. My other cat and her love each other and cuddle all the time, sure it was a change for them at first but now they are inseparable. The dogs even love her. She is very happy now and it makes me feel good that I gave her a good home.

Many people let their cats out at night and keep them in during the day. If you have seen this cat in your neighbor's window, then it most likely lives there.
Simply stop feeding the cat and if you can, keep it from being able to see your cats by using a window drape or cover. The cat will go elsewhere.

If the cat was well-fed it wouldn't be coming by you for handouts. You are a kind person and the cat knows it. Your cats are interested in this one because it is in their territory.
Some people let their cats out at night.I don't because I love them and don't want them to come to any harm. I let my cats out for fresh air on my enclosed veranda, but only during the day so that they don't have to deal with the racoons and skunks that prowl around at night.

No I wouldn't feed her if she has owners who I knew who were taking care of her. Does she look abnormally thin? That would be the only time I would break my rule and feed her. I think she knows a soft-touch when she sees ones. Cats have as much guile as Dogs at mooching. Yes a lot of people let their cats out. I used too and if I ever get another cat, I'd let him out again too.

I do animal rescue so first I would find out for sure if she belongs to the neighbors. If she doesn't belong to anyone I would trap her and go get her spayed. Then I would keep feeding her. I don't worry about MY cats. I love all animals.
